Letter from
Phil
sorry this is late again. Unexpected visitors
arrived, so we took them out to the islands for the weekend (it's
Easter Monday morning here in Australia).
The now-sunburnt visitors are still here, so I'll
make this very short and probably write a longer letter later in
the week.
Anyway, what I want to ask is... are you actually
doing anything to make yourself into an online success? Or are you
just still playing at it, pretending to yourself that you're getting
somewhere?
This is an important question and hard to answer
because you've got to be honest with yourself.
Do you buy every ebook around?
Get memberships for all the private sites?
Sign up for everything that comes along?
But never actually achieve anything.
Look, I know I'm always writing about this, but
that's because it's so important.
The vast majority of people will NEVER make more
than a few dollars online. And I don't want you to be one of them.
The reason they don't is because they never really
put much effort into it. They dabble around, they play at being
an Internet marketer, they like to talk about their online "business".
But in reality they haven't got one because they
haven't put the work in to grow a business.
This was brought home to me the other day when
one of the mountain folk dropped in for coffee, and to say that
he's having to leave the mountain because he could no longer afford
to live here.
He needed to earn about AU$200 a week more (which
is around US$120 ) to be happy.
Now this, very computer savvy, guy has read my
book Mini Site Profits
which filled him with plans and ideas for making some money online.
And a few months ago, perhaps 6 weeks after reading
my book, he even spent more than he could afford, to buy James Martell's
Affiliate
Marketers Handbook after reading a few chapters at my house
and getting excited about it and the huge sums that James is earning
from his affiliate sites.
But, guess what, months later my mountain friend
has still "not got around to doing anything."
"I've been meaning to," he said...."I
want to, but...."
And then he rolled out a long list of excuses.
The reality is you can't give yourself excuses.
You've just got to sit down and put the hard work in.
If
time is a problem read Jim and Dallas Edwards The
Lazy Man's Guide to Online Business.
But the main thing is to buckle down and put time
and effort into it all.
Success, and the "Internet lifestyle"
won't just come to you. No one is just going to hand it to you.
You have to earn it. You have to work for it.
ok, that's it for today.
phil
ps. please don't get mad at me for ranting on
like this. I'm not having a go at you. I just want to see you make
a go of it.
In fact, later this week, I'll tell you
just how you can do it.
